Summary

The neighboring villages, Pyrgoi and Mesovouno, were looted, massacred and burned to the ground by the German troops. Since 2010, the German-Greek cultural association "Dialogos" in Delmenhorst has been in close contact with the two villages and succeeded in establishing a student exchange between a German school and three Greek schools.
