  • An elected member of the Sectoral Scientific Council (TES) in "Agricultural Production, Nutrition, Food, Agricultural Biotechnology and Aquaculture" of the National Research and Innovation Council (2018-present, Government Gazette: 200 / 10.04).
  • An advisor of the Ministry of Research and Innovation in the field of Agri-Food and Biotechnology (2017-2019).
  • A member of the editorial team in 4 high-profile scientific journals and a scientific reviewer in a number of scientific publication groups.
  • The scientific coordinator and collaborator in 14 National (UK & GR) and European research projects.
  • The representative of Great Britain and Greece in European Consortia (COST, etc.) on projects related to his scientific fields for the strategic planning of the EU agri-food sector.
  • Professor P. Sarris has a large number of scientific publications in the most prestigious international scientific journals, including: Science, Cell, Nature, PNAS, PLoS, etc. with more than 1450 references to his published work. He has been invited as a keynote speaker at more than 30 international and national conferences.
