Summary

As a boy, Ariel would self-soothe by inventing machines from scraps he found in the neighborhood. At age 11 his sadistic father died, leaving him a second chance at childhood that he refuses to relinquish. Today, his love of machinery, high pain threshold, and childlike passion are woven together in a unique livelihood that gives him purpose and meaning.
